Six recovered emails document how **Neil Serebryany** moved from a first meeting with **Jeffrey Epstein** in November 2018 to offering him "a few candidates" six months later — 60 days before Epstein's arrest on federal sex trafficking charges.
The email chain is drawn from over 100 documents in the DOJ's Epstein archive. It shows Serebryany rescheduling appointments to fit Epstein's calendar, proactively requesting additional meetings, and attending the Adult Video News convention in Las Vegas. He ultimately answered Epstein's direct question — "are we going to hire anyone?" — with: "Yes, have a few candidates in mind."

Serebryany's first appointment at 9 East 71st Street was set for 10:00am on November 29, 2018. Documents show that on the morning of the meeting, Epstein's staff asked Serebryany to shift to 11:00am. He replied that he had a conflict at 11:30 and proposed 12:30 or 1:00pm instead. The response from Epstein's office pushed it further, to 5:00pm.
"Greatly appreciate it. Appt is still at Jeffrey's home at 9 East 71st Street between 5th and Madison."
Serebryany confirmed and attended. The appointment had been arranged through Masha Drokova, who emailed Lesley Groff four days earlier: "Jeffrey confirmed the meeting with Neil." Epstein's calendar entry that day read: "10:00am Appt w/Neil Serebryany (Masha's friend)." (vol00011-efta02264388-pdf, Nov. 29, 2018)
The contact didn't stop at one meeting. On December 26, 2018, Serebryany emailed Epstein's office unprompted: "Happy holidays! Hope the season is treating you well. I'll be in NYC the 11th–15th of January and it'd be great to meet with Jeffrey if he's in town."
Epstein's assistant forwarded the message directly to Lesley Groff with a single word: "Yes." (vol00011-efta02268160-pdf, Dec. 26, 2018)
Serebryany replied the following day: "Sounds good m7." (vol00011-efta02269230-pdf, Dec. 27, 2018)
By January 7, 2019, a Skype session had been scheduled. A calendar alert read: "Alert — 4:00pm EST (5pm LSJ) SKYPE w/Neil Serebryany." (vol00011-efta02267630-pdf, Jan. 7, 2019)
The January 28 email exchange is the most explicit in the chain. Serebryany wrote to Epstein's personal account — jeevacation@gmail.com — noting he had just attended AVN in Las Vegas. AVN is the Adult Video News convention, the adult film industry's largest annual trade show.
"Speaking of other interests I was at AVN in Vegas this weekend. Interesting place."
Epstein's reply came the same morning:
"can have another call week of 4th. with your friend if you like. hows our girl hunting coming. /?"
Serebryany's previous email in that exchange had described meeting "very interesting ladies in Vegas." (vol00009-efta01028140-pdf, Jan. 28, 2019)
On May 3, 2019 — two months before Epstein's arrest — Epstein sent Serebryany a direct question: "are we going to hire anyone?"
Serebryany replied two days later:
"Yes, have a few candidates in mind. Don't think we got the chance to discuss them. Will be in NYC this upcoming week. Happy to share more details about them."
Epstein responded: "Tuesday?" Serebryany said he would arrive at 4:25pm and could do evening. Epstein confirmed: "yes." (vol00009-efta00494246-pdf, May 3–5, 2019)
On May 6, Epstein's assistant emailed Serebryany to confirm 7:00pm on Tuesday, May 7, at 9 East 71st Street. Serebryany replied: "Perfect." (vol00011-efta02284115-pdf, May 6, 2019)
Epstein was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges on July 6, 2019 — 60 days after that final meeting.
The DOJ archive contains 103 documents referencing Serebryany across this period. The six emails above trace a specific arc: an introduction through Masha Drokova, active cultivation of the relationship through repeated contact, attendance at the AVN convention, and explicit discussion of "candidates" in Epstein's final weeks of freedom.
The identity of the "candidates" Serebryany had "in mind" is not stated in any recovered document. No charges have been filed against Serebryany.
All individuals mentioned are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
